10. Go Ape Treetop Adventure Course
At Go Ape Treetop Adventure, your family will enjoy the obstacles set up in the trees. For children and adults ten and over, there is a more difficult course set up for exploration. For younger children, there is a junior course. The adult course takes two to three hours to complete and costs $57 per adult and $37 for children aged 10 to 15. 9. AleWerks
The beer-lovers you are traveling with will love to stop at AleWerks. The brewery offers tours Monday through Saturday. From Monday through Friday, you can take a trip at 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, tours are offered at 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. No tours are offered on Sundays. During the tour, you will learn how the brewery creates its beers and see the facility where the beer is brewed, bottled and labeled. Tours take about 40 minutes and cost $8 per person over 21. After the tour, you will get back to the Taproom for a guided taste. The Taproom is open every day of the week, but hours vary, so you may want to check the brewery’s website for hours.
8. Bay Country Kayaking
If you like to spend time out on the water, you may want to consider taking an outing with Bay Country Kayaking. The company offers trip to a variety of locations, but the closest to the area will be the New Quarter Park tour. They will take between two and half and three hours and will cost $60. This is a cool activity for a weekend in the area, as you will not only get to explore the region, but you can do so in a fun way. The company also offers a lodging package and a charter package if you are interested in doing either of those things.
7. Merchants Square
With so many things to do in Williamsburg, Virginia, you may have a hard time going shopping, but you should go to Merchants Square for a really great shopping experience. 5. Governor’s Palace
Another historical destination in the area, the Governor’s Palace is a must-see location. As part of Colonial Williamsburg, you may consider visiting the whole area. If you don’t have time to visit the entire colonial region, be sure to at least tour the Governor’s Palace. 4. Historic Jamestowne
Located near Williamsburg, Historic Jamestowne is a great place to see due to the historical significance of the area. Your party can take a walk or an educational tour of the town and you can see archeological dig sites. While wandering around the area, you may see a variety of different animal species, as well, as there is a national park nearby. The company offers seven different outing options, including a lesson tour and a historical trip where you will see a few different historical sites while you sail along the York River. The most popular cruise is the adventure cruise where you will be able to relax with your family or friends. This would also be a great trip for you and your significant other, as you enjoy a romantic afternoon on the waters of the York River and the Chesapeake Bay. 2. Taste of Williamsburg Food Tours
Food tours are a great way to make your way through a new city, and Taste of Williamsburg offers the best food tours in the city. With this company, you will go to nine different places to taste a variety of different foods and beverages. These tours start at $44, but if you are interested, you can add on a 30 minute walking tour of The College of William and Mary’s Ancient and Old Campuses. The add-on will cost an extra $10 per person. The food tours start at 1:30 p.m. and end between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m.

Colonial Williamsburg will take you to the past. The area is full of 18th-century homes and other buildings, and there is residence that you can interact with, as well.
